Little Mountain Pottery kiln opening

Citizen-TimesLittle Mountain Pottery, the studio of Claude Graves, held its 36th Annual Kiln Opening Festival on October 9-10.

The Kiln Openings give participants a close look at the craft and and opportunity to purchase recently made pottery.

The studio has exhibited work in museums, galleries and private collections around North Carolina.

In 2007 Claude Graves was recognized by the North Carolina Folk Life Institute as a “Traditional Artist” of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area.

Visitors to Little Mountain Pottery can watch the potters working.
